For more than 25 years, I have worked at the Ford Motor Company and have seen firsthand the challenges workers face when dealing with workplace injuries, medical restrictions, return to work issues, and the WSIB system.

For the past 6 years I have served as the WSIB Alternate Representative, helping members navigate claims, understand their rights, and work through complex workplace issues.

What sets me apart is the combination of 25 years of workplace experience, 6 years as a WSIB Alternate, elected union leadership, specialized WSIB training, and my education to become a Licensed Ontario Paralegal.

I am running because members deserve strong representation, clear communication, and someone who will follow through when it matters the most.

Protecting injured workers. Standing up for members. Delivering results.

Specialized Training and Education

Members deserve representation backed by both experience and knowledge.

In addition to my workplace and union experience, I am also a Licensed Ontario Paralegal. I have completed specialized education in:

  • WSIB Rights and Obligations.

  • Benefits and Services.

  • Return-to-work process.

  • Accommodation Law.

  • Health and Safety.

  • Advocacy and Dispute Resolution.

  • Administrative Law.

  • Workplace Rights.

  • Tribunal Advocacy.

My education and training have strengthened my ability to analyze documentation, understand legislation and policies, advocate effectively and help members navigate complex issues.

This training helps me approach files with precision, strategy, and attention to detail.

Leadership means listening, earning trust, and standing up when it matters most.

I’ve been trusted by members to serve in elected and accountable union positions, including:

  • Women’s Committee Chairperson — Unifor Local 707 (9 years)

  • Trustee

  • WSIB Alternate Representative (6 years

Through these roles I’ve gained experience:

  • Advocating for members.

  • Managing sensitive workplace issues.

  • Communicating effectively during disputes.

  • Remaining professional under pressure.

  • Following through on commitments.

These positions have taught me the importance of accountability, fairness, integrity, and strong communication.

Community Involvement

Giving back has always been important to me:
Throughout my time at Ford I have been involved in initiatives that support workers, families, and our community. My volunteer experience includes:
• United Way Campaigns.
• Organizing Community Fundraisers.
• Supporting McMaster Children’s Hospital and Sick Kids Hospital     Toronto.
• Leading Memorial and Awareness Events.
I believe strong communities and strong unions are built on the same values: service, compassion, and helping others when they need support.
